“The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board” (GSEB) usually declares the SSC results during the month of May every year. The Board is responsible for conducting the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Class 10 exams in the month of March. This year the Class 10 Board Examination was also conducted from March 12- March 23. All students who’ve appeared for the GSEB SSC Exams can expect the GSEB SSC Results to be announced around the third week of May. About Gujarat Board

GSEB was established as a statutory body in the year 1960.  The Board aims at regulating and promoting Secondary School Certificate and Higher Secondary School Certificate education across the State. It is responsible for supervising education in the State, developing the curriculum, prescribing study material for SSC and HSC level, granting affiliations to colleges and conducting the State Level Engineering Entrance Examination (GUJCET) as well. While students wait for the announcement of the results, here’s a glimpse of the previous year’s scores indicative of the performance graph by students appearing for the GSEB SSC Exam over the past years. In 2017, the pass percentage of the Gujarat 10th Board Exam was 68.24%. This showed a significant rise in the number of students clearing the exams with girls outnumbering the boys in their performance. Out of 775013 students, 528870 students passed the GSEB SSC 2017. With more than 8000 students scoring above 99%, it was a noteworthy achievement for the State Board.  The statistics just display last year’s performance which could differ based on how students have performed in Gujarat SSC 2019.

What to do after 10th

Deciding on the career path ahead could be a challenging task for students who’ve just completed their 10thBoard exams. Candidates could be battling on the choice of an appropriate stream. The choice of streams is broadly based on grades/marks as well as aptitude of the student. The most common option after clearing class 10 boards is studying +2. It can help to secure an enhanced foundation for further studies. The basic streams available for higher secondary education are as follows:

3.       Arts/Humanities Streams
Alternatively, students could also choose to opt for Diploma Engineering after completion of matriculation. There are a host of engineering courses that can be pursued.
